Authors into schools: Jess Butterworth

On Wednesday May 22nd Chorleywood Bookshop were delighted to take author Jess Butterworth into Chater Junior School in Watford and St Helens School in Northwood. The students were enthralled by her adventurous tales as Jess shared her experiences of living in the Himalayas and the Louisiana swamp lands. Her most recent novel (ideal for ages 8 to 12) explores climate change, rising sea levels and loss of habit and home. The children were particularly engaged in the discussion of environmental issues and how best to move forward to make positive and effective change!
