We welcome number one Sunday Times bestselling author Adele Parks to Chorleywood on May 19th at 7pm at Chorleywood Library.

Adele will give a creative writing masterclass on writing your first novel plus a talk about her new book “Just my Luck”.

Adele will offer encouragement and a one-foot-in-front-of-the-other practical guide to the elusive art, craft and graft of fiction writing.

The course will cover topics such as:

Adele Parks was born in Teesside, North-East England. She is the author of nineteen international bestsellers, including her most recent Sunday Times number one bestseller, Lies Lies Lies. She’s an ambassador for The National Literacy Trust and a judge for The Costa. Adele has lived in Botswana, Italy and London, and is now settled in Guildford, Surrey, with her husband, son and cat. “Just My Luck” (published May 2020) is her 20th novel in 20 years.

Creative Writing Course for Children

Join us for a creative writing workshop, for ages 8 to 11 years, at Chorleywood Library.

All you need to bring is your imagination!

There will be no red pen and no grading, just a fun-filled, creative, positive morning run by Chorleywood and Gerrards Cross Bookshops with professional writing teacher Penny Pugh.

Please be aware places are limited and have historically sold out quickly.
