Welcome to our website. This is the online home of both our lovely shops: the Chorleywood Bookshop and the Gerrards Cross Bookshop. If you want to book places for one of our many high profile events, purchase a limited edition book, or find out how to get hold of us to place orders or make a query, you’re in the right place!
We would love you to pop in to one of our shops too. The best thing about owning independent bookshops is hearing all about the books you love (and hate!) and sharing our passion for reading with you.
To step in to the Chorleywood or Gerrards Cross bookshop is to be a part of our community so please do come and say hello.
Click on any of the events to be taken to the relevant page for more information and to book your spaces.

See literature come to life at our events which range from our festivals (The Chorleywood Literary Festival and the Chorleywood Children’s Literary Festival) to evenings out with some of the world’s most famous authors.
Plus, don’t miss our school events. We love taking books into schools as this is where passions come to life. We work with schools in a variety of ways, bringing authors, selling books and helping with library recommendations. We are always looking for new ways to engage students of all ages with books, so if you are a teacher and have any ideas you’d like to make happen, click here to work with us.
But don’t just take our word for it! Here are some of the things our lovely customers have said about us:
“I ordered a book for my housebound mother-in-law and, when they found out it was for her birthday, they gift wrapped it and delivered it to her door, with a card, all within 24 hours! Thank you.”
“They have brought the community together through promoting greater literacy with school events, book festivals, writing competitions and organising book clubs, bringing in well known national authors and celebrities as well as supporting local authors.”
“This small but mighty store is a real pleasure to deal with; they have a passion and energy that is infectious and uplifting.”
